In a Twitter Spaces session held recently, CZ dispelled these rumors by stating that neither he nor Binance provides official backing to this venture.
CZ Dispels Rumors
On September 27th, 2025, during an interactive Twitter Spaces event with the Aster community, CZ addressed these speculations head-on. He confirmed that while his venture firm YZiLabs does hold a small stake in Aster DEX, there is no formal endorsement from him or Binance itself.
“I don’t have personal investments in Aster,” he stated firmly. “And Binance as a company is not involved.”
This misunderstanding partly arose because some former employees of Binance are now working with Aster’s team.
This connection led many to believe that CZ was closely linked to the project due to its rapid expansion. However, CZ emphasized that such assumptions were blown out of proportion.
