ZachXBT, a well-known blockchain analyst, has recently disclosed multiple instances where Trust Wallet users experienced unauthorized withdrawals from their accounts.
Based on ZachXBT’s findings, several individuals using Trust Wallet have reported that funds were taken from their wallets without permission. The root cause of these breaches remains unclear at this time. Notably, these incidents followed the release of an update to the Trust Wallet Chrome extension just yesterday.
In a cautionary message to the community, ZachXBT stated: “Community alert: In recent hours, numerous reports have emerged about funds being removed from Trust Wallet addresses without authorization. Although the exact reason is still unknown, it coincides with yesterday's update of the Trust Wallet Chrome extension.”
Trust Wallet has yet to provide an official response regarding these events. Meanwhile, users are strongly encouraged to enhance their security protocols and vigilantly watch for any unusual activity within their wallets.
At present, the wallet account receiving these allegedly stolen assets reportedly holds approximately $2.4 million in cryptocurrency.
