Anthony Pompliano, a well-known advocate for cryptocurrency, has ignited conversations within the crypto community by expressing his views on the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.

During a recent appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box, which he shared on X, Pompliano proclaimed that “we are all Satoshi,” suggesting that Bitcoin’s enigmatic creator is not just one person but rather a collective.

“We are all Satoshi.”

I have no desire to uncover Satoshi’s identity because the real power of Bitcoin lies in its decentralized and neutral ownership by millions globally.

The Mystery of Satoshi

Pompliano’s remarks highlight the widespread acceptance of Bitcoin and its inherently decentralized structure, which allows it to operate independently from any single authority.

This perspective shifts the title of ‘Satoshi’ from being attributed solely to its legendary pseudonymous founder to encompassing everyone who possesses Bitcoin. He argues that limiting ownership solely to Nakamoto diminishes what makes Bitcoin truly powerful.

While he expressed indifference regarding Nakamoto’s actual identity, he warned that revealing it could dilute one of Bitcoin’s most compelling narratives centered around decentralization.

According to Pompliano, such revelations might lead people to believe that Bitcoin is owned by an individual rather than being a shared asset; instead, it should be recognized as belonging simultaneously to everyone and no one at all.

The Core Strengths of Bitcoin

Pompliano further elaborated on where he believes Bitcoin derives its strength from while rejecting notions that attribute its power solely to an anonymous authority since its creation.

He emphasized that the essence of Bitcoin lies in its decentralized and neutral network ownership shared among millions worldwide.

Pompliano contended that both global adoption and resilience stem from this system of neutral ownership involving countless users, miners, and developers who collaboratively sustain the network.
