In anticipation of the upcoming IPO for the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, the Winklevoss twins have expressed bold predictions regarding Bitcoin’s future potential.

Tyler Winklevoss, co-founder of Gemini, shared with CNBC’s Squawk Box that he believes Bitcoin could soar to $1 million within the next ten years.

“We are still in the initial phase of this journey. If Bitcoin successfully takes over gold’s position, we foresee it reaching $1 million. We consider Bitcoin to be Gold 2.0,” remarked Winklevoss, highlighting a possible tenfold increase from its current value.

When they established Gemini back in 2015, Bitcoin was valued at approximately $380. Today, it is trading above $115,100 and has experienced an astonishing rise of over 30,000% in just a decade.

The IPO for Gemini has also garnered significant attention from investors. As reported by Bloomberg, shares were priced at $28 each—surpassing expectations—and following the IPO event, Gemini achieved a valuation of $3.3 billion.

“We’ve made significant progress to reach this milestone,” Tyler Winklevoss emphasized while reaffirming his optimism about Bitcoin’s prospects moving forward.
