Charles Schwab Expands Investment in Bitcoin Treasury Strategy to Strengthen Crypto Portfolio

According to a recent filing with the SEC, Charles Schwab Investment Management, the asset management division of Schwab, increased its investment in Strategy (MSTR), which is recognized as the largest Bitcoin treasury firm, during the fourth quarter of 2025.

During this quarter, Schwab’s wealth management sector acquired an additional 91,859 shares of MSTR. This brought their total holdings to nearly 1.3 million shares valued at approximately $193 million at that time.

By the end of 2025, MSTR was trading around $152 per share—a significant drop of 65% from its highest point. As reported by Yahoo Finance on Tuesday morning, the stock had dipped further and was trading near $127.

Strategy has positioned itself as a key player in Bitcoin accumulation within enterprise software and has garnered substantial support from traditional financial institutions. The company currently holds about 717,131 BTC worth roughly $48 billion.

The fund manager’s cryptocurrency-related assets also included a holding of 229,000 shares in TON Strategy—down from 286,000 in Q3—and an increase to 6,713 shares in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) compared to the previous quarter.

Additonally,Schwab disclosed a position consisting of $5.3 million shares in American Bitcoin Corp., which is focused on Bitcoin and co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.
