Vitalik Buterin, the co-creator of Ethereum (ETH), recently shared a witty and insightful remark regarding the potential for other blockchain platforms to outpace Ethereum during an interview.
When questioned about whether he would feel disheartened if another public blockchain became dominant, Buterin responded that his reaction would largely depend on which project took the lead. He emphasized that he would admire any competitor who wins through technological excellence and innovation.
Nevertheless, Buterin singled out the Tron (TRX) network in his comments. He expressed that if a platform like Tron were to become number one, it might cause him to “lose some faith in humanity.”
Justin Sun, founder of Tron, is often regarded as a polarizing figure within the crypto community. Despite this controversy, a substantial share of stablecoin transactions—especially USDT transfers—are conducted on Tron’s blockchain rather than Ethereum’s.
