Michael Saylor has shared a series of insights where he juxtaposes his STRC (Stretch) instrument against conventional market offerings. His primary assertion is that Strategy has developed an asset that merges the reliability of the dollar with the lucrative potential found in Bitcoin.

In a recent tweet, Saylor pointed out that STRC’s volatility aligns with money-market standards, unlike other assets. According to his data, the 30-day historical volatility for STRC stands at a mere 1.7%, which is significantly lower than Bitcoin’s (38%), gold’s (36%), or even the S&P 500 index’s (20%).

Saylor aims to persuade investors that STRC offers safety comparable to short-term bonds (BIL, at 1.0%) while providing substantially higher returns.

With approximately 1.7% volatility, a Sharpe ratio of 4.49, and around $278 million in daily liquidity, $STRC presents stability akin to money markets alongside superior risk-adjusted returns.

Saylor’s subsequent post directly critiques hedge fund efficiency by highlighting that STRC has achieved an impressive Sharpe ratio of 4.49. In contrast, its closest bond market competitors (HYG and PFF) range between ratios of only 0.19-0.27; BIL even reports a negative ratio at -0.23.

The stability offered by STRC allows for daily liquidity close to $278 million, making it appealing for major institutional investors.

This mathematical framework presented by Saylor enabled Strategy to execute significant transactions over just two days:

  • April 13: A total acquisition of **7,651 BTC** was made as bond markets effectively funded this Bitcoin purchase.
  • April 14: Concurrently with these updates on Twitter another **2,617 BTC** were secured according to data from strc.live portal.

Basing on metrics highlighted by Saylor today instilled confidence within the company leading them to amass **19,441 BTC** over ten trading days.

Saylor is no longer merely selling “Bitcoin.” Instead he is offering a technology designed for accumulation purposes now known as STRC; provided it maintains its low volatility rate at **1.7%**, investors are likely continue injecting capital which will enable him convert into more than **10k BTC** within just two days’ time frame.
