Changpeng Zhao, widely recognized as CZ and the visionary behind Binance—the globe’s leading cryptocurrency exchange—shared his insights on Bitcoin and the broader crypto market amid a phase of limited activity.
Referencing a recent report that indicated the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has excluded cryptocurrencies from its 2026 top risk list, CZ expressed optimism by stating, “I might be mistaken, but a 'supercycle' appears imminent.”
Furthermore, addressing news about Wells Fargo acquiring $383 million worth of Bitcoin, he remarked, “While many are selling in panic, American banks are accumulating substantial amounts of Bitcoin.”
Zhao is acknowledged as an early adopter and investor in Bitcoin. Although his total wealth remains undisclosed officially, estimates place his combined assets—including BTC holdings—at approximately $78.8 billion. Nonetheless, CZ himself has not verified this valuation.
